I have always been fascinated by people, how different, unique, and alike we all are. My work primarily focuses on my observations and relations to people through painting and photography. My present series of paintings are based off of old family photographs of whom lived in previous time periods such as the 1920s-50s. Through this I am exploring my family history and remembrance through the photographs and bringing it back to life in the painting. I also began a series of photographs mimicking those time periods to further link the past with the present, emphasizing nostalgia for the past.
